I thought I would make an update just to let everyone know that we're still
around. We've all been very busy these past several months and exploring
has unfortunately been placed on the backburner. We do have some new locations
which we will be adding soon. You might also have noticed that we added a
couple videos. One for the Quincy Building and another for Warner & Swasey.
We hope to continue to add videos to our site, though my video camera was
stolen out of my car a few weeks ago, so it may be some time before we can
make some new ones. Also, we have bills, so click on this...
Sorry about having to take the site offline for a couple days, we've been
working very hard on making the page better for everyone. So now everything
should load faster and smoother. We're still working on a few new things so
you'll have to be patient with us. We also added these six new buildings.
Brown Graves Lumber II
Copley Hydroponics Plant
The Quincy Building
Whisky Island Coast Guard Station
The Sinking House
The Trinity Building
We'd also like to say hello to our new friends from Stow, who have been helping
us out lately.
Merry Christmas Eve everyone! We finally made it out to the abandoned coast
guard station on Lake Erie. Pictures from there and a few other locations to
come soon. We also made it back to Columbus Coated Fabrics to check out a few
of the areas that we hadnt gotten into previously. Oh, and we gave Tim his
digital camera.
Finally, an update! It's been a long time comming but we finally got around
to adding some new buildings to the site. We added Kase Machine, The Fairmont
Creamery, Stanard School, and one that we know next to nothing about so for
now we're just referring to it as the Youngstown Building.
More buildings and also a new tunnel to be added soon. Please keep comming back.
Today we went back to the Oreo Building and this time we actually got to
eat oreos and milk inside. The first time we went we got too excited about
exploring that amazing building and forgot all about eating the oreos that
we had brought. It was a great experience, eating oreos with a group of
friends, in an abandoned builing. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
We also added two more buildings today, the Eveready Battery Factory, and
the Warner and Swasey Company. Both very interesting buildings.
Just added The M. Burkhardt Brewing Co. Building. Plus we have two other
buildings to add whenever we get a little more time. So keep checking back.
We added 4 new places:
Chippewa Lake Park, Toilet House, Oreo Building, and East 55th Clinic
If you missed Jillian's art show, but are interested in buying one of her
prints, you can now do so online, right here.
Several updates to come later this afternoon as well, including a page on
Chippewa Lake Amusement Park.
Urban Exploration Photography
Jillian from Great Lakes Urban-Ex is having an art show at Pain Hate Pain Studios
in Akron. Please come. It'll be a great time.
