Columbus, Ohio

The Nelson Road Water Plant is almost unnoticeable as you
drive down Nelson Road. It hides behind a barbedwire fence
covered in overgrown weeds and small trees. It's unknown
how old this building is or when it was abandoned, but its
obviously been empty for a while. Nothing is left inside,
just holes in the floor from where large machines once stood.
The walls are all covered in graffiti, which sets this place
apart from the bland colors of pealing paint, that are so
common in abandoned buildings. Not a very large building
at all. Just a few rooms, including a second floor room
with a doorway leading to a catwalk that is no longer there.
Whats outside makes up for what the building lacks in size
though. Behind the building are two huge round structures.
One seems to be a water tower and the other I believe is
called a secondary clarifier. I could be wrong though. All
together its an interesting little place. I only wish we
knew more about it.
