I've heard a lot of people talk about this place being haunted.
That the wife of Mr. Squire died there, or was murdered there, or
that one of his children was buried there. Whatever the ghost story
says, its not true. Sorry to dissapoint, but this castle was never
home to anyone. It wasnt even a home at all. No one ever lived
there, and no one ever died there. This building, was to be a gate
house, to a much larger estate, that was never built. Its just a
neat old building that sits in the Chagrin Reservation part of the
Cleveland Metroparks.
