Cleveland, Ohio

The Trinity Building, built in the 1920's, was originally
home to Monarch Aluminum, which made pots and pans until
the early 1980s. During World War II the factory was used
to make aluminum pernament mold castings for the military.
Sometime after Monarch left, the building was used as a
chop shop, and for "other illegal purposes".
The building is currently owned by the city of Cleveland,
and they're in the process of finding a contracter to
abate asbestos, demolish the building and clean up the
soil.
The first time we visited this building we made it to
the second floor and then realized that we were not
alone. we saw several people run through an adjacent
part of the building and we didnt want to stick around
to meet them. On our third trip there, we were able to
explore a lot more of it. It's a large building and is
littered with interesting things. Polaroid pictures, a
pope pennant, a room filled with books, and lots of other
great stuff.
